Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Job Description
We are seeking Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) with advanced knowledge, strong clinical skills, strong multi-tasking capability, and an interest in growing professionally. The RBT is responsible for working directly with a caseload of early intervention clients on the autism spectrum and following the plans provided by the BCBA.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Implement behavior reduction plans and skill acquisition plans
- Participate in regular trainings given by the BCBA
- Collect various forms of data
- Provide feedback to the BCBA to assist in the development of plans
- Assist in Mainsail’s community/parent education efforts
Additional Responsibilities
- Meet regularly with BCBAs
- Participate in semi-annual trainings
Minimum Education/Training Requirements:
- Must have or be working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field
- Must possess or be able to complete RBT certification within 1 month of hire
- Must have at least 6 months of experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders and/or other related developmental disabilities
Additional Requirements:
- Familiar with the field of autism intervention, and knowledgeable of other community resources and agencies that serve children
- Sensitive to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population
- Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Able to consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.
- Able to exercise confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the work environment
- Able to appropriately interpret and implement policies, procedures, and regulations
Physical Requirements:
- This job involves frequent sitting walking, standing, bending, stooping, and kneeling
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. routinely

- Salary: $20.00 to $23.00 /hour
