Megan Norris, MS CCC-SLP
Megan Norris is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist who is passionate about helping others
improve their communication skills. Megan received her Bachelor’s degree in Speech and
Hearing Sciences from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and her Master’s degree
in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from New York University. She began her journey
working with individuals with disabilities as a camp counselor for children and teenagers during
her undergraduate program. She continued pursuing her passions throughout graduate school and
as a licensed Speech Language Pathologist. Megan completed a clinical practicum at a New
York City school developed exclusively for children with autism spectrum disorders with an
ABA approach. Over the past five years, she has worked in a subacute inpatient rehabilitation
center, with school age children through a private practice and with adults with developmental
and intellectual disabilities. Megan has assisted individuals with a range of communication,
cognitive, language, swallowing, articulation and literacy disorders. She has knowledge and
experience with a variety of alternative and augmentative communication methods and devices.
Additionally, she has studied American Sign Language. Megan believes in total communication
through all modes and the importance of individualizing goals and treatment plans for each child
and their family.
In her free time, Megan enjoys reading, traveling, playing kickball and spending time with her
family and close friends.
